BIPV Features Overview
Integrated Photovoltaics

Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV)

BIPV are dual-purpose construction materials that produce clean electricity and double as the exterior climate screen of a structure. They replace fundamental architectural elements.

  • Maximum flexibility: Modular system fits many types of roofs.
  • Lightweight: 14kgs per square meter, reducing structural load.
  • Aesthetic looking: Tiles blend seamlessly and are almost indistinguishable from regular tiles.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Why are solar roof tiles more expensive than traditional options?
Our solar tiles use aerospace-grade polymer composites and monocrystalline silicon cells with double-sided tempered glass. This creates a highly durable structure with 30-year power warranties and a 60-year plus life span, offering superior long-term value.
2. Why is the storage system pricing higher than some market alternatives?
We utilize Lithium iron phosphate batteries. Compared to lead-acid, these offer longer life spans, no maintenance, extreme safety, and better efficiency. We provide at least a 5-year warranty to protect the investor's value over time.
3. Why should battery capacity be higher than the solar system's max power?
To ensure battery longevity, we do not recommend 100% depth of discharge. Having a higher capacity ensures the system operates within optimal safety margins, extending the overall lifetime of the roofing investment.
4. Can I install solar roof tiles directly on my existing roof?
No. Existing roofing (metal, asphalt, or clay) must be removed. You must install horizontal fixing battens and vertical counter battens first, then secure the BIPV solar roof tiles onto the fixed structural framework.
5. What is the efficiency and power output of these tiles?
The black panel tiles feature a module efficiency of approximately 19.4% with a max power output of 80W per piece. On average, they generate roughly 0.08kwh per hour per tile under standard test conditions.
6. Are these tiles resistant to harsh weather conditions?
Yes, the tiles are constructed with 3.2mm tempered glass and aluminum zinc sheets, providing high corrosion resistance and structural integrity suitable for various global climate conditions.
